A relentless guardian and defender, NJASAP serves to protect and enhance the careers of its members through vigorous contract negotiation and enforcement, untiring support for a multi‐faceted operational safety apparatus, responsive, scrupulous, and transparent organizational leadership, and unwavering dedication to a nimble, focused industry affairs program.
A mid-term, interest-based bargaining exercise, the NJASAP Membership ratified the 2024 Amended Agreement in April 2024. Each part to the agreement is obliged to abide by its terms and conditions. To that end, NJASAP views its contract enforcement obligation as second only to its responsibility to secure and to enhance its members’ job security, wages, benefits and working conditions through interest-based and Section 6 bargaining opportunities.
The NJASAP Executive Board endeavors to lead in a manner consistent with the will of the Membership, to provide a return on each member’s dues investment by offering a robust menu of vital services and resources, and to fastidiously scrutinize expenditures to ensure each furthers the Association’s ability to reach strategic goals and to realize its overarching vision for the organization.
An independent pilot labor advocate, the NetJets Association of Shared Aircraft Pilots (NJASAP) represents the professional interests of the 3,400-plus crewmembers who fly in the service of NetJets Aviation, Inc., a Berkshire Hathaway subsidiary. The Union maintains an office just minutes from the John Glenn Columbus International Airport where it hosts twice weekly pilot meetings. NJASAP is governed by a five-member, democratically elected Executive Board who oversees an 10-member NJASAP Stewards Council, six full-time staff members and a Union Volunteer Network comprised of more than 200 volunteers and subject matter experts.
NJASAP is privileged to represent a highly skilled and knowledgeable pilot force who is consistently recognized for outstanding professionalism, experience, and commitment to their craft. The group unfailingly receives high owner satisfaction ratings, which the Union attributes to its members’ unfailing observance of professionalism, consistency in the performance of their duties, and compliance with company and federal regulations. Indeed, with approximately 60 percent marketshare, NetJets is the world’s leading fractional air transportation provider, boasting a reputation for employing the very best flight deck crewmembers and offering its clientele the sense of security that comes with a sterling safety record. Simply put, NetJets owners and customers pay a premium for the very best, and, each and every day, NJASAP members deliver it.
NJASAP is overseen by a five-member, democratically elected Executive Board that serves a three-year term. The current Board is serving a term that began July 1, 2024.
